This is an update to my “Harvest Drive 2008” blog from earlier today.
FRIDAY – 11/21/08, BEGINS AFTER 3PM – Western High School turns into “Harvest Drive Headquarters”. Volunteers welcomed and needed for at least 1 or 2 hours at a time. Whatever we can do, they are happy to have and appreciate. KIDS WELCOMED ON THIS DAY
MONDAY – 11/24/08 – 8AM THRU 9PM – Same thing as above except this will be the “Sort and Pack” day – KIDS WELCOMED ON THIS DAY ALSO
TUESDAY – 11/25/08 – STARTING @ 7AM – This is the final day which I believe Publix delivers the perishable items and families get their packages – THIS LAST DAY IS ADULTS ONLY DAY
** They are also accepting “Publix Gift Cards for any amount” or checks payable to Western High School-Harvest Drive; these funds are used for purchasing perishable food for these families directly from Publix **
LOCATION: WESTERN HIGH SCHOOL; 1200 SW 136th Ave., Davie, FL 33325 – PH# 754-323-2400 – They are about 1 mile or so east of Indian Trace and Weston Road – School located on the NE Corner of SW 14th St and SW 136th Avenue. Hope to see you there! Cristina Connell (954) 274-3446
