Thanksgiving Harvest Drive "2008", Great Community Effort Always…

Wow… Another year has almost come and gone in a blink of an eye. Although many of us might be feeling the negative effects of the economy and the market, there are many others that have felt it a lot worse.  That’s where the HARVEST DRIVE steps in every year for the past 16 years now. This Harvest Drive was started with Renee Herman along with the caring Staff, Administration, Students and Parents at Country Isles Elementary School.   This Harvest Drive is about Children helping other children in a wide community effort to stamp out hunger.  Harvest Drive has come a long way since and has spread out through  other local and Broward County schools. Harvest Drive is also presented by the Rotary Club of Weston and has several other sponsors to help support the cause.   This is a great time to get involved with our own children  in our own neighborhoods and get support for those families that are in need of a Very Happy Thanksgiving this year.

This 2008 year, the  HARVEST DRIVE AT COUNTRY ISLES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WILL ACTUALLY BE HELD AT “WESTERN HIGH SCHOOL” IN DAVIE, ON NOVEMBER 24TH & 25TH.
As a proud mom of a daughter at Country Isles Elementary, we will be at Western High School along with many others to help pack, sort, give or help out with whatever else is needed during this 2008 Harvest Drive.  If you are in the surrounding areas, you can still participate since the Harvest Drive will also be held at 3 other schools in the Miramar, Parkland and Pompano Beach area.

HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!! …. Cristina Connell
