Potential sellers have much to be excited about these days as South Florida’s housing market continues to grow. According to S&P/Case-Shiller index South Florida’s housing stock appreciated 10.8% in Feburary from last year, reported by the Sun-Sentinel, which marks 14 consecutive months of increases. According to the report, which surveyed 20 metro areas across the US, the South Florida market showed double digit increases in the housing market over the past year.

As evidence that the South Florida’s housing market continues to grow, the median price for a single-family home in Miami-Dade county skyrocketed 25.1% to $225,000 in March from $179,850 a year earlier, while, the median price for a Miami-Dade condo increased 19.3% year over year, according to the Miami Association of Realtors.

It is evident, from these numbers, the real estate market in South Florida is back on the rise. This is welcomed news to the many potential sellers who have been patiently waiting to put their house on the market.
