Five New Sales Associates Join EWM's Key Biscayne Office

KEY BISCAYNE, FL (September 24, 2007) – Esslinger-Wooten-Maxwell (EWM) Realtors, one of the largest residential real estate firms in the U.S., announced today that five new sales associates have joined its Key Biscayne branch office; Julio Carrillo, Elena Iglesias, Maria Lucena, Roxana Ortiz and Maite Thornton.

Carrillo was born in Cardenas Matanzas, Cuba and has lived in South Florida since 1977. He received a degree in advertising and marketing from the university in Cuba. He brings over 28 years of experience in the real estate industry and holds the designation of Broker. He is a current member of the Realtor Association of Greater Miami Dade.

Iglesias moved to South Florida in 1980 from Venezuela. She holds a master’s degree in literature and has won numerous awards in journalism, as well as having five books published. In her spare time she volunteers for Hands On Miami. She is a member of the Virginia Key Beach Park restoration committee and the Realtors Association of Greater Miami Dade.

Lucena, born in Oporto, Portugal, has lived in South Florida for 30 years. She earned a degree in social work in Portugal and an Associate of Arts degree from Miami Dade Community College. She brings over 25 years experience in the real estate industry. She is a current member of the Realtors Association of Greater Miami Dade.

Ortiz has lived in South Florida for 27 years. She earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Florida International University. Prior to joining EWM she worked at Propeller Branding as a Senior Account Executive. She is a member of the Realtors Association of Greater Miami Dade.

Thornton is a native Floridian. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from Georgetown University. Prior to joining EWM, she worked for NBC 6 as a Producer. During her spare time, she volunteers at Miami Children’s Hospital. She is a member of the Realtors Association of Greater Miami-Dade.
