Village of Pinecrest Parks Part 13 – New Lighting for Red Road Road Linear Park in Process

capital-improvement-sign-for-red-rd.JPGTwinkle, twinkle, little star. . . . . You’ll soon be able to enjoy the stars while strolling, jogging or riding your bike in the evening in Red Road Linear Park along Red Road between SW 111 Street and SW 88 Street in Pinecrest. The lighting project has started! I spoke with the friendly owner of Nortec, Ruben Ramirez Sr. and his son Ruben Jr. while a hole was dug and another pole put into place. Nortec contracted with FPL to do the project. There will be 42 light poles approximately 210 feet apart to provide lots of light. The project is supposed to be finished by November 15th. There is some minor inconvenience for motorists along that stretch of Red Road at the moment; but the happy strolling, jogging, peddling and humming in the evening in the near future will be well worth it.
