The November Ballot – Amendment 4

Thanks for The Warning vote-button

In this morning’s Herald there is an interesting article on the November ballot (click here for article).  Get ready: It could be about 10 pages long (bring the smelling salts, the Herald advises).

Not only will we be voting for a president, but also for a myriad of other offices at the Federal, State and county level.  On the ballot will also be a number of referendums.  One important item on your ballot will be Amendment 4.

The way the tax code is currently set up first-time home buyers, developers, snowbirds and investment property owners bear the brunt of property taxes.  Amendment 4 includes a series of changes that will reduce the burden of Florida’s property tax on these groups.  As with any issue there are two sides to the coin.  Be prepared, read up on this important issue and decide how you intend to vote on this based on careful consideration.
