On my way to lunch today I was traveling North on USI when I crossed a motorcade of Coral Gables Police going the opposite way. I counted 3 buses, 10 squad cars and approximately 20 motorcycles, all with their lights flashing and sirens on. Overhead were a couple of helicopters.
My first thought was that it was President Bush, but there was no limosine or town car? I wondered what could all this commotion be about! Then I became scared…the sight of all those policemen together impressed me in a bad way. It brought back memories of other horrible tragedies that have happened before in our City. I knew then it was something terrible. There is a fugitive out there that shot 4 police officers…1 is dead. Read more.
