As we notified you earlier in the week, the Florida Legislature is in the midst of revising the current year budget because of declining tax revenue. Both the Senate and House have voted today to sweep additional Sadowski Trust Funds. As you know, these programs provide much-needed housing for those who need it the most.
Your Senator or Representative has been appointed to the Conference committee that will meet over the weekend to finalize the budget reductions.
Even if you have already taken action this week, please contact your legislator again to remind them that housing equals jobs! One of the best places that money can be spent is in the housing sector, where the economic stimulus is over 6-to-1 for every dollar spent.
