School for Advanced Studies Miami-Dade County’s Collegiate High School

Families relocating to Miami can find quality education for their children in the Miami-Dade Public Schools. School for Advanced Studies (SAS) is a nationally recognized collegiate high school of excellence, established through a partnership between Miami-Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS) and Miami-Dade College (MDC). Students attending SAS complete their last two years of high school while attending MDC. The program offers acceleration and enrichment and provides a supportive transition to a university education. Students graduate with a high school diploma and an Associate in Arts degree. In 2016, 99% of the students received both degrees simultaneously upon graduation from high school. Classes are offered at five Miami-Dade College campuses, Homestead, Kendall, North, West, and Wolfson. Applications for the class of 2019 (current high school 10th graders) will be held on consecutive Saturdays. The School for Advanced Studies earned the distinction of the #1 high school in Florida.
