On Wednesday April 15th, Robbie Bell of the Mary Brickell Village Office of EWM accepted a grant for $5,000 on behalf of her women’s organization, The Links, Incorporated – Greater Miami Chapter for their breast health awareness program. This is the 7th year the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation has funded the chapter based on a program Robbie created to “Educate a Congregation, Save a Woman’s Life”. Since it’s inception, the program has reached over 3,800 women (and a few men). This year, program expansion reaches beyond church doors and will incorporate seniors and PTA groups in the Black community.
