Pinecrest Palmetto Bay….Urgent Care!

Friday evening, my grandson, 10 years old took a fall while playing football at a birthday party and really hurt is ankle and foot. IS IT BROKEN? Thank goodness for those living in Pinecrest and Palmetto Bay there is an Urgent Care Center. I have to tell you that the visit was so pleasant (not so busy at the time), maybe because the results were no broken bones, only a sprain, but everyone was nice and helpful!

What is an Urgent Care Center?

Baptist Medical Plaza at Palmetto Bay
8750 S.W. 144th Street
Miami 33176
305-412-2929

These centers provide care for minor injuries and illnesses that require immediate attention, but are not severe enough for a trip to the emergency room, including cuts, sprains, eye injuries, colds, flu, fever, insect bites, and simple fractures. Urgent Care Centers are also helpful when your family pediatrician or primary care physician’s office is closed or unavailable. Patients are seen on a walk-in basis, with no appointments necessary, and reduced waiting times.

Where is the closest Urgent Care Center?
Urgent Care Centers are located throughout the tri-county area. View a list of facility addresses and telephone numbers now or use the online Provider Search feature to find an Urgent Care Center in your area. Hours of operation vary, so please call the Urgent Care Center or NHP Member Services (305-715-2500 or 1-800-354-0222 in Miami-Dade county) for specifics.
