New World Symphony 10.28.11. . . .

New World Symphony 10.28.11 7:15 PM: It was 80 degrees and people ( and their dogs ) were positioning themselves amid the palms for the NWS WALLCAST at the New World Center, designed by Frank Gehry. Michael Tilson Thomas conducted Strauss, Till Eulenspiegel’s Merry Pranks and Brahms, Symphony No. 1 in C minor. I thought Till was exceptional. The performance had a narrative quality. When I hear Tilson Thomas conduct, each time, an old favorite is made new. Later, walking on Lincoln Road, with so many choices for late dining, I thought how effortless it is to enjoy this in Miami. What a great place for a home, or 2nd home.
