"FIXER UPPERS ARE STILL THE WAY TO GO"

Many neighborhoods are suffering decreased prices from the large numbers of foreclosures.  The large number of foreclosures and vacant properties lead to more decreased values and other problems such as increased crime.  It is hard for a buyer even with the extremely low prices to buy in these neighborhoods.  However, in a Detroit, Michigan area apparently in worse shape than most in South Florida or the rest of the US, buyers are taking advantage and making a change that will slowly raise the value of their own investments and that of there neighbors.  It is clear that some personal innovation and imagination can turn these bad times into something positive for many families and communities. If you want to read more about how one community is making changes read the article attached.
