Coral Gables’ Ingraham Park

Surely you’ve noticed the beautifully renovated Ingraham Park of Coral Gables at the intersection of LeJeune Road & West Ingraham Terrace. After ten months of renovation, what used to be a patch of grass has now been transformed to 2.5 acres of elegance. Starting with its stunning fountain inspired by the Palace of Alhambra in Granada, Spain to enhanced landscaping , exercise stations, walking/jogging paths, misting machines, inviting benches, and more. Along with the reconstruction of the park is the new bright red bridge constructed as an enhancement to the Commodore Bike Trail. The bridge was built in order to provide both bicyclists and pedestrians safe crossing over the Coral Gables Waterway, between Cocoplum Circle (it’s true name, Cartagena Plaza, see my blog “Shoes Worth Bronzing”) and Ingraham Park. This area is known for its many runners and cyclists which is near and dear to my heart as I am a runner! Every Saturday this bridge is incorporated into my run as I stop, with my running partners, on the south side to enjoy the water provided by FootWorks (I had to give them a plug). This bridge and newly created park really do enhance the experience.
