A uneventful hurricane season comes to an end

Miami BeachForecasts from the National Hurricane Center based in Miami were right on target this year.  The hurricane season began in June, it ended November 30th  and it was a very mild season indeed!  Of the nine named storms that developed only three actually gained enough strength to be categorized as hurricanes.  Even then, by the time these three hurricanes touched US land they were weakened causing little more than strong rains and some beach erosion.  All in all we have been very lucky and have enjoyed some gorgeous weather. It is the first week of December and the high temperature average is in the low 80’s.   As we approach the winter season we know we have sunshine and mild temperature to look forward to for months to come.  It is great to live in Florida!
