As a native New Yorker who moved to South Florida 9 years ago, I\u2019ve come to realize that “home is really where your heart is”.\u00a0 I\u2019m happy to have left behind the rat-race that went with living in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, and the seasonal changes with its accompanying shopping sprees.\u00a0 Boy, was that fun, at the time, I thought.<\/p>\n

Now, I see life through different eyes\u2014and it\u2019s filled with lots of sunlight, warm breezes and easier commutes. Whether it\u2019s a “cool” January or a hot-spell in August we are having, living in the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale area has been a wonderful change for this transplanted New Yorker.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve come to call Aventura, the City of Excellence<\/a>, as my new home. Situated in Northeast Miami-Dade County on the Intracoastal Waterways, and midway between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, Aventura is centrally located close to the area’s two major airports and major highways. And most of all, it is only one mile from the Atlantic Ocean.<\/p>\n
