Schools influence the value of a ho<\/span>me<\/span>:<\/span><\/p>\n

The proximity of a property to a top-notch school is almost thought of as\u00a0an amenity. According to a\u00a0realtor.com<\/a>\u00a0survey performed during July of 2013, 90% considered the\u00a0school boundaries important or relevant when buying a house.<\/p>\n

Many are willing to make sacrifices:<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the survey:<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0More than 50% of people would pay between 1-20 percent more for the right school.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a062% would sacrifice\u00a0a pool for school proximity.<\/p>\n

\u2022 51% would sacrifice\u00a0shopping for school boundaries.<\/p>\n

\u2022 35.5% would even sacrifice\u00a0square footage for the right school.<\/p>\n

How Can You Tell Which is the Right School?<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a>Greatschools.org<\/a>\u00a0contains the grades for each school, and student\/teacher ratio according to zip code\u00a0or area of your preference. However,\u00a0it is important to\u00a0remember that\u00a0the school\u2019s grade\u00a0is only based on past performance\u00a0and standardized tests. Since future performance cannot be determined or predicted, the possibilities for\u00a0choosing a school are endless, so keep your eyes open for the right school and the right house.<\/span><\/p>\n
