In the middle of Brickell avenue\u2019s tallest buildings, elegant condo\u2019s and wrap around bay I was witness to the most remarkable, profound and moving experience this past Sunday, October 28th day honoring the patron of St Jude.<\/p>\n
It was humbling to say the least as I aided thousands of people waiting in line for hours since the early morning waiting patiently for their turn to be able to offer their prayers and supplications to the Patron of St Jude.
\nPeople of all ethnic backgrounds, ages and gender gathered together to celebrate the Feast of St Jude at St Jude Melkite Catholic Church on Brickell giving their most powerful and intimate testimony of this \u201cmiracle worker\u201d as some people described him while waiting in the scorching heat.<\/p>\n
Some faithful traveling from remote areas of the city or state with limited amounts of money in their pockets were all too eager to buy their candle or stamp with a prayer of St Jude to pay tribute to the Saint of the \u201cimpossible or difficult situations\u201d knowing in their hearts that with faith and prayer they can overcome any difficulty in their present life therefore making St Jude the saint of \u201cAll Possibilites.\u201d<\/p>\n
In times when the economy is affecting many people financially as well as some people are losing their homes to foreclosure, and afflicting many physically it was so touching and rewarding to see despair and sadness turning into hope and transformation of the heart.
\nAs Monsignor Gabriel Ghanoum says: \u201cA transplant of the mind\u201d and the will to change is all you need to begin a new life of infinite possibilites.<\/p>\n
For many faithful especially in Latin America \u201cSan Judas\u201d or St Jude is honored year after year giving people the hope they need to walk with confidence, and find their self-worth despite their pain, loss and tribulations.
\nWithin this beautiful church located next to Brickell Millionaire\u2019s row lie the many testimonies edged in each stone that people have shared kneeling and crying at the altar, and praying to this \u201cmiracle worker\u201d being grateful year after year for all the small miracles they have witnessed.<\/p>\n
