There was a very informative article in the Sun-Sentinel Monday Sugust 20,2007. It was titled, \u201cDo-it-Yourself Home Sale Might Not Pay Off.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

It was great<\/a> to see positive press about Realtors in South Florida. This informative article detailed the true benefits and financial advantages of using Realtors.<\/p>\n

When I meet with For Sale By Owner sellers they are always unhappy and sorry that they tried to go at it alone. All it did for them was waste time and money. The article details half of successful FSBO sellers knew the buyer before the sale and didn\u2019t even try to sell the home on the open market. Fewer than half said they would do it again.<\/p>\n

The information provided would be enlightening to any seller that might be under the impression that going it alone saves them money and would be an easy undertaking.<\/p>\n

I have worked with sellers that started off as FSBO\u2019s thinking they have plenty of time to give it a try and if it doesn’t sell in a year they will work with a Realtor. A year later, their time has run out and they have to sell immediately. Furthermore, market conditions now are less favorable then a year ago, this forces them into a position of very aggressive pricing because they can not wait any longer.<\/p>\n
