The community of Royal Harbour Yacht Club in Paradise Point Drive had a new main water line and a new sewer line installed by Miami Dade Water and Sewer<\/a> in early 2009. After the work was completed, the community\u2019s Board of Directors voted on a proposal to correct the road drainage, resurface the private road, and repair the pavers that were damaged in the common areas during the water line installation. In addition, the Board of Directors voted to upgrade the stamped concrete driveways of units 5950 to 6134 to the new pavers being used in the common areas. The work has been financed by the reserves the community had earmarked for this project and by a special assessment levied on units 5950 to 6134 to cover the replacement of the stamped concrete driveways.<\/p>\n

After the scope of the project was completed it was opened for bids. The Board of Directors unanimously voted to award the contract to the lowest acceptable bidder; Miguel Lopez Jr Inc<\/a>. This company also completed the drainage portion of the work.<\/div>\n

The first phase of the program was completed at the end of 2009. New drains have been installed and all the stamped concrete driveways have been replaced with the new pavers used in the common areas. As you can see from before and after photos, there is a marked improvement in the appearance of the community.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The next phase of the project will replace the pavers on the road of the single family home section of Paradise Point Drive. Once this is done, the contractor will mill the existing roadway and then resurface it with asphalt. It is expected that the entire project will be completed in late February to early March 2010 when the pavers at the entrance will be replaced. This will give the Paradise Point community a totally new look!<\/p>\n

New pavers in common areas & driveways<\/p><\/div>\n

Paradise Point is a private waterfront community just south of Coral Gables<\/a>\u2019 Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club<\/a>.\u00a0 It is comprised of 13 single family homes and 92 townhomes built between 1984 and 2009. The community has 2 private marinas; Royal Harbour Yacht Club Marina with 49 slips and Paradise Point Marina with 26 slips. In addition, Paradise Point has a clubhouse, exercise room, 2 tennis courts, a private beach, and a very unique boardwalk that goes through a protected mangrove forest and ends in a beautiful view of Biscayne Bay.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
