This is good news and an opportunity for families that want to sell, to put their homes on the market, NOW.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here are three reasons for this surge:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Buyers are taking advantage of the lowest prices in three years<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  2. First time home buyers are taking advantage of the $8000 tax credit offered by the federal government<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Interest rates are low<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The New York Times<\/a> as well as tv and other print media have been touting the news since yesterday when the new statistics came out.\u00a0 Many see this as the beginning of the recovery, the stabilizing of prices and the start of a great new beginning for real estate.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    I see it as, a moment in time to take advantage of the activity.\u00a0 It may not last.\u00a0 Many more foreclosures are coming down the pike.\u00a0 These have a negative impact on prices.\u00a0 They will also increase the inventory, again.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    The low prices are what is attracting buyers.\u00a0 If\u00a0 homeowners start raising their prices, they will see demand drop off.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
