When homes prices are falling and\u00a0they are continuing to fall<\/strong>, builders don’t start new projects. All industries related to home building are at a stand still. Lumber\u00a0mills, steel mills, window manufacturers,\u00a0etc.\u00a0are all doing much less business\u00a0and laying off\u00a0workers.\u00a0 I believe the housing industry is the most important industry in the country. \u00a0 People feel less wealthy and spend less, therefore less cars are bought and other big ticket items.<\/span><\/p>\n

Your home is the largest purchase you will ever make and if its’ value is declining if effects everything else in the economy.\u00a0Confidence in the future is eroded.\u00a0 People tend to travel less, plan for the future in more conservative ways, save more money.<\/span><\/p>\n

It will take time to reduce inventories so that prices can stabilize.\u00a0 Right now there are multiples of like properties that are available to potential buyers.\u00a0 These have to be reduced considerably before we can see price stabilization.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you are currently thinking of selling, you should price your home ahead of the market.\u00a0\u00a0In other words, price your home less than the last sale.\u00a0 It is the only way to sell and control the market. <\/span><\/p>\n
