I noticed, last week, when I was showing apartments at the Continuum and the Murano, that life on South Beach was going on as usual.\u00a0 It was filled with people at the beach, fantastic luxury cars and crowds in the restaurants.\u00a0 It was as though there was no recession <\/strong>and I was right but only to a point!<\/p>\n

Today the New York Times<\/a> confirmed my suspicions, condos are the ocean side of Miami Beach are selling\u00a0.\u00a0\u00a0 The great locations in the best buildings are still\u00a0in demand.\u00a0 BUT<\/strong> the properties South of fifth are selling when the prices are\u00a0reduced<\/strong> and it looks like a good deal.\u00a0 In fact, when it is a good deal, the seller gets multiple bids.<\/p>\n

Here in Aventura, properties that continue to ask the prices of a few years ago, are sitting on the market.\u00a0 Properties in the one million plus category are not moving.\u00a0 Price is everything now and people are looking for buying opportunities.\u00a0 There isn’t much faith in the future.\u00a0 Attitudes have changed.\u00a0 Only when we see reality come into the market, will we see sales increase.<\/p>\n
