As I think about the foreclosure market something occurred to me. <\/span>I\u2019ve been noticing there are fewer foreclosures lately. <\/span>It seems the banks are holding <\/span>back on foreclosures because of a statement made by the new administration.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Simplified – According to the government, when a bank forecloses a home it has a value of -0- (zero) to the banks. <\/span>The banks are selling these homes at extremely reduced prices because any money received from these sales is considered a profit \u2013 and they have to pay taxes on their profit. <\/span>The administration is now considering allowing the banks to claim their foreclosed properties at market value. <\/span>If that passes, the banks will start their pricing at market value and prices can go up from there. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
