Spicewood<\/strong><\/em>. I remember stopping in at the sales trailer back in 2004 when there was vacant lot all around with just a few buildings under construction. There was a row of model homes of varying floor plans to browse through that were very nice. New construction was hot and there seemed to be advertising<\/a> everywhere for this project.<\/p>\n

It was constructed by Westbrooke Homes<\/a>, a division of Standard Pacific. The models showed well and 3 bedroom single family homes were selling in the 300’s. The seller’s market ruled.<\/p>\n

There were a lot of investors and flippers. It seemed like most developments had For Sale By Owner signs in a lot of the windows before the projects were sold out. Some developements held drawings to see who could<\/em> purchase there. Lines would form outside the sales offices of condo conversion projects, sometimes over night.<\/p>\n

The National Association of Realtor’s latest market outlook is positive, indicating may existing home sales may gain momentum by the end of the year, with broader improvement in sales activity in 2008.<\/p>\n
