Although this building is not exclusively a rental building,\u00a0I helped two clients\u00a0lease condos at The Douglas Grand this last week and thought to myself, “hmmm… I would enjoy living here”.\u00a0 I’m not planning a move just yet, but I thought I should let people know how\u00a0lovely & convenient this building is.<\/p>\n

The Douglas Grand is situated on Menores avenue (between 14th & 15 ave)\u00a0and off of Douglas Road (37th avenue). The first thing to mention is the fact that it has a Publix<\/a> supermarket that is adjacent to the building.\u00a0 While this may sound busy, the Publix faces Douglas road whereas The Douglas Grand faces Menores Avenue.\u00a0 If you\u00a0came from\u00a0Ponce & I didn’t tell you, you wouldn’t see the Publix.\u00a0The convenience of being able to run to the grocery store and back within 5 minutes is priceless.<\/p>\n

On the other side of the building is Phillips Park with walking\/jogging paths, children’s playground, 2 tennis courts,\u00a0covered picnic area, a large open field, dugouts for baseball, goals for soccer, a basketball court,\u00a0and stadium-style field\u00a0lighting.\u00a0 I had no idea Phillips Park had all of this until I began doing research for my real estate clients.\u00a0 Click here<\/a> for a picture tour of the park courtesy of www.CoralGables.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It goes unsaid that the location of the building is ideal (but I’ll say it anyway, lol).\u00a0 It is in Coral Gables (2 blocks walk to Ponce De Leon &\u00a06 blocks walk to Miracle Mile), close to Coconut Grove, Brickell & Downtown and just a short drive to the airport or the beaches.<\/p>\n

Now onto the building itself, the units in the building\u00a0are owned by individual unit owners –\u00a0not a corporation.\u00a0\u00a0Upon entry (secured electronic entry only), you walk into a marble foyer that leads to the lobby.\u00a0 If you are visiting on a weekday, you are greeted by the friendly concierge.\u00a0 The first floor is made up of the mailroom, utility room, lobby & management office.\u00a0 There are 3\u00a0modern & clean elevators to take you to your unit – one of them is a convenient service elevator.\u00a0 On the fourth floor you will find a gym with cardio and weight equipment and just outside of the gym is the expansive pool deck overlooking the city.<\/p>\n
