\u201cHouse guests, like fish, begin to stink after three days,\u201d is a Benjamin Franklin quote that we have all heard. It is so true: it is hard to have other people in your home, even when you actually want those \u201cother people\u201d around! Take, for example, a live-in housekeeper or nanny. This situation is so common here in Miami, and I know that my life would be more difficult without my nanny. However, I do not necessarily want to spend my every waking moment at home with her! Fortunately for me, I have a guest house in which she resides.<\/p>\n

I have to say that I absolutely adore having a separate guest house, as do many of my friends and neighbors. Not only are the excellent for a live-in, but they are also fabulous for housing in-laws, older kids, or even for their intended users \u2013 house guests.<\/p>\n
