Where's That Music Coming From?!!

blues_guitarist.jpgsaxophone_.jpgI absolutely love live music! However, I sometimes feel it’s difficult to find in Miami. It’s definitely out there. But… where?!! Well, living off of Brickell, I’ve been able to find some venues that are able to satisfy my appetite; and I’m not just talking about food.

blue-music.jpgFor example, for some really good live latin jazz, on Wednesdays and Thursdays, Gordon Biersch restaurant has it going on.

red-music-sheet.jpgOf course, for those who like variety, Tobacco Road is still going strong. Seven days a week they offer live music from rock, to blues, to funk, to folk and the occasional jazz. Sometimes indoors AND outdoors simultaneously.

yellow-music-sheet.jpgIn South Miami, Bougainvillea’salso has some good variety. I’ve seen some really impressive groups perform there, such as For If The Flies (Por Si Las Moscas). You may occasionally find Ricky Morales’ Tumbao playing some latin rock.

There are other venues that offer live music regularly, such as the Van Dyke floral-music-design.jpgCafè and Arturo Sandoval Jazz Club on the beach, I/O in the Design District, and The Bar in the Gables to name a few. What’s also great about all the places is that they also offer food and drinks. So, go take a listen. Afterall, music is the universal language we all can understand.
