Here’s a little update on “happenings” in Village of Pinecrest parks – in this case, specifically, Veterans Wayside Park. The light poles along Pinecrest Parkway (US 1) are always adorned. Sometimes they mention specific events coming up, such as the South Miami Art Festival mentioned on some at the moment (more about that later). Sometimes the adornments are simply seasonal. Presently, all the light poles that go from one end to the other along Veterans Wayside Park are adorned very appropriately with pictures of the American Flag. So nice to see! Take a look as you drive along Pinecrest Parkway between SW 112 Street and SW 110 Street. Here’s the music; it’s time to sing along: “My Country Tis of Thee……..”

“Track or Treat” Halloween party will be in Evelyn Greer Park on October 31, 6-8 PM, rain or shine. Everyone is welcome; and it’s FREE. Children must be accompanied by an adult and bring their own bag for candy.
