The new Lennar Foundation Medical Center on the University of Miami campus in Coral Gables was dedicated on Friday. The center will provide outpatient services for 1500-2000 patients a day. The Center will house satellite facilities for UHealth Sports Medicine, the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, and other specialties. The Medical Center is named for the Lennar Foundation, led by past chairman of the UM Board of Trustees, Leonard Miller. The Lennar Foundation announced a donation of $50 million in October.
