The Roads is an area of single family homes located in the heart of Miami, about a mile west of Downtown. Originally a neighborhood full of longtime residents that came after World War II, The Roads, also known as Brickell Roads, has been increasingly attracting young professionals that work in the nearby financial district. The Roads is virtually built out with very few lots remaining, which has caused prices to go up in the last decade. Thanks to a very proactive Neighborhood Civic Association, which has protected the area from commercial over-development, this part of the city’s original core has maintained its integrity and can be described as an inner city oasis. There are currently 49 houses for sale in this pocket of the city, ranging from $398,900 to $1,400,000 in asking price.
