Florida Realtors happily celebrate as their 7 year opposition against amendment 4 was finally achieved. Amendment 4 would have reduced Florida’s economic output by approximately $34 billion each year would have probably reduced Florida’s jobs by approximately 260,000 jobs. It would of required all city and county support for changes in growth management plans. Since 2003 Amendment 4 has been debated by realtors and many realtors have been campaigning against it. Vote No on Amendment 4
Amendment 5 and 6 are both redistricting changes and have passed which is unfortunate for Florida Realtors who were not in favor of these measures. Amendment 2 was actually passed by a 78% vote and Florida Realtors were in favor of it. Deployed military personnel will now receive more homestead tax exemptions.
