Looking for a winter retreat
The Yachtclub at Portofino, Miami Beach
I find myself frequently working with out of town buyers either Europeans or Northerners looking for a condo in Miami Beach. With all the condos available in the market you’d think this would be an easy project. The tricky part is that many of my buyers are looking for a place they can use occasionally and rent when they are not here. Although there are a number of apartment-hotels that offer a rental programs, I often hear feed-back that these units tend to be small and not very comfortable.
The Yachtclub at Portofino
In my various forays into this market, my top-choice building would have to be The Yachtclub at Portofino. Please click here to see the range of units currently available. The building offers 24 hour valet parking and security, there is a gorgeous gym overlooking the marina with his and hers saunas, there is a tennis court, pool and hot tub. There are grilling and dining areas set up in the vicinity of the pool overlooking the bay. There is a Club Room for meetings or entertainment. There is a convenience store on the ground floor for all your basics from milk and cereal to wine and risotto. The beach is just a 3 block walk away.
SOFI – South Of Fifth
The Yachtclub at Portofino is located in SOFI (South of Fifth) one of Miami Beach’s best neighborhoods and The Best condo area on the beach. The surrounding condos are luxury buildings where units are priced in the millions. There is lovely South Pointe Park for relaxing and exercising. There are some of Miami’s best restaurants: Joe’s Stone Crabs, Smith and Wollensky, Prime on Twelve, Fratelli La Buffala, Red Steakhouse and many others. It is a pleasure to live in SOFI.
