If you’re looking for a 1 bedroom apartment rental in the Miami/Brickell area you have about 300 options to choose from. If you’re looking for units under $1,500 you have over 200 options! Bay views, city views, new units, remodeled buildings, over 1,000 Sqft, full amenities, central location…to say the options are endless is an understatement. So here is a breakdown of what those units have to offer. There are 20 newer buildings offering one bedroom units under $2,000; all of them were constructed after 1995 with the bulk of them after 2001.
Although most new buildings offer appealing amenities you need to be careful with the ultra new which tend to feel more like ghost towns. These buildings include Met 1, Latitude, The Ivy and Everglades—to name a few. The ghost buildings are nearly empty as a result of the economy and with it, the Miami Condo bust. Some of the more active buildings where built early on and have more of a community feel since the buildings are largely occupied.
If you’re looking for privacy and a nice quite environment stick with Brickell Key. You can choose from the Tequesta Point Towers (there are three), Carbonell, The Courts, Courvoisier Courts, Isola or even the new Asia. This Island is right on Brickell (SW 8 Street) but with a sliver of water separating it to deliver a sense of privacy and dividing work from home for many. The newer buildings are The Courts, Three Tequesta and Asia and here is a sample of what’s currently available. Click here for sample units.
If you like to live and work within close proximity you’ll like the buildings right on Brickell Avenue. These include 500 Brickell, The Mark, The Sail, Emerald, The Plaza, Icon Brickell, Epic, One Miami and Jade. If you work in the Brickell or Downtown area the buildings along this corridor are typically an elevator or metrorail ride away.
If you’re looking for play stay close to the Mary Brickell Village area which offers all the food and dance you’ll ever need. This area is home to a slew of bars, clubs and restaurants such as PF Changs, Rosa Mexicano, Perricone’s Market Place, Red Bar, Dolores…but you can call me Lolita and more. The closest buildings are The Axis, The Avenue, One Broadway, Neo Vertika and Brickell on the River.
