For those of you who haven’t yet heard the news, Classical music has returned to South Florida! And its about time!
South Florida was (until a couple weeks ago) the largest radio market in the entire country without a Classical radio station. Since 2002 when the last broadcast of classical music crossed our airways (except for a short-lived attempt at broadcasting on the AM dial last year) Miami, the Magic City which has recently spent nearly 500 million dollars on the spectacular Carnival Center for the Performing Arts was without any classical music station. Thanks to American Public Media Group, we now have 89.7 FM.
