For Miami Dade County
The deadline to appeal all values and exemptions is Sept. 17, 2008
You must go in person to the Tax Assessors office to discuss the reasons why you think your assessment is unjust. You may want to bring some recent real estate sales information with you to support your request for a valuation reduction. Based on the results of that conversation, you may then appeal to the Value Adjustment Board for a formal hearing. The office is located at:

For Broward County
All 2008 Valuation petitions must be received at the Value Adjustment Board’s Office by September 19, 2008.
In order to petition the Value Adjustment Board, you need to complete this form.
