I know what you might be thinking. You are thinking how can sports teach values and success skills. Well I’m here to tell you… in more ways that you can imagine.
Sports can help your child’s overcome their biggest fears, and self doubts. It can open your child to the power of values. It will increase the opportunities for them to discover who they are, and increase their strength, flexibility and endurance.
Sports will teach them respect, courage, persistence, discipline, focus and seft confidence.
But don’t just take my word for it. Let your children select a sport they like [ Basketball, Baseball, Football, Soccer, Volleyball, Self defense] or any other sport that they would like to participate, and see how they start building self confidence, they become themselves, and start getting in to more difficult task. Their skill levels sky rocket, and they strives harder to reach their goal. At the same time we as parents spend more time with them; see how they get involved in the activities, and how they get along with other kids.
Time is something that goes really fast. I still remember when my older son threw his first pitch 14 years ago, my second 12 years ago, and when my daughter started Taekwondo 3 years ago.
I still enjoy going to any of their events, because you are not only developing a fatherly bond, but you are developing a friendship and a relationship that would last FOREVER.
