The Kendale Country Club Estates is an exclusive single family home community in the heart of Kendall Miami. Some homes at Kendale Country Club Estates feature canal front.
Kendall is also home to one of the largest Colombian American populations in the State of Florida. Over 11,000 Colombians live in the area, mostly concentrated in the western fringes (West of the Florida Turnpike), where they make up over 60 percent of the population in certain neighborhoods (West Kendall, Royal Palms on 134th Ave. and the Hammocks). Interestingly enough, several White non-Hispanic enclaves do exist West of the Turnpike. Peruvians also make up a significant percentage of West Kendall residents, particularly in the Kendale Lakes (between 137 and 147 from east to west, Kendall and Sunset from north to South) neighborhood. The entrance to Kendale Lakes on Sw 137 ave (which loses it’s Lindgren Rd name..in honor of the old Lindgren estate just above the Sw 192 St intersection) is marked by a commemorative sign honoring the Peruvian Admiral, Almirante Miguel Grau, who lost his life in the Chile-Peruvian War in 1879. Many Peruvian foodie places can be found in both the Kendale Lakes Plaza and the Publix Higate Square shopping plaza across the street, such as La Bodega, El Pollon, Aromas Del Peru, and another Peruvian chicken place next to Food Among the Flowers (formerly Il Piatto). Inka Kola is also stocked to a fault at the Kendale Lakes Publix next to Postobon (Colombian soda).
