So, after the Dolphins won one, what’s left on your wish list?
Did you see Wayne Huizenga cry? I just love to see a grown man cry with happiness. Not since 1988 when the Hurricanes hoisted Jimmy Johnson up in the Orange Bowl has it made me so happy to see someone else so happy.
If seeing the Dolphins finally win one didn’t do it for you, you’re probably to young to remember the pandemonium and delirium that was Miami both years, but especially the second after the back-to-back super bowls. Maybe you were feeling it when the Heat won over Denver in 2006. THAT kind of happy.
How can you bring back the joy in the rush to accomplish all that you hope to in this final weekend before Christmas? How about a little positivity: My motto is . . . “If it’s not a ‘Yes’, then it’s a ‘No’.” Why struggle with uncertainty? When it’s right, you feel it. If you’re not feeling it, don’t do it, buy it, go to it, etc. You won’t really be happy in the end, so don’t settle. Make yourself happy first, and it will flow over into everything you do. A Happy Holiday should include your happiness! Nothing can compare to the rewarding feeling of giving and sharing with those less fortunate . . . sharing your happiness makes it complete.
So, give the homeless man at the intersection a $20. Buy a really great toy for Toys for Tots. Adopt a pet. Give to your favorite charity. Gifts of fun work too: Give a friend a night out with a gift certificate to your favorite restaurant and movie tickets for two. Whatever you do, sharing your happiness in doing it makes the giving all the sweeter for the recipient. Getting back their gratitude and seeing their joy is gravy.
I wish you a Holiday that makes YOU Happy!
