Housing Values Soar 11% in South Florida

The South Florida real estate market is heating up.

The Case-Shiller real estate index shows an 11 percent jump in South Florida housing values in December 2012 compared to the previous year.

This is the biggest spike since August 2006−a time when the real estate boom was just starting to lose steam. It is also the 13th straight month of consecutive gains.

Case-Shiller recently released a report on the nation’s top housing markets, showing South Florida as having the sixth largest increase in housing values in the country. The report clearly shows the real estate rebound gaining steam.
