Now is probably the greatest time in the history of Real Estate to buy Foreclosures. The general public needs to be educated about the fact that Foreclosures are relatively easy transactions as opposed to Short Sales or from emotionally driven sellers. The bank is not in the Real Estate business and has a surplus of properties that they want to sell and sell now. Banks want to get the thousands of properties of their books and are willing to take pennies on the dollar to do so. The average Foreclosure is well below today’s market values and the bargains out there are incredible.
The majority of buyers don’t realize that five to ten years from now that most properties purchased from the bank today will have increased a great deal in value. Nobody has a crystal ball but if history repeats itself the general public in years to come will be saying things like Gee ! remember how cheap we could have bought that property !
I am an optimist by nature but also a realist and know that everything is cyclical and this is just a down cycle. When the cycle starts to turn everyone will jump to buy and that’s when prices will rise. You have to be involved before the masses jump in or it will be to late.
