Aventura is a beautiful Florida city located just between Hallandale and North Miami close to Bal Harbor and the infamous South Beach. The weather here is amazing, an estimated 252 sunny, yes sunny days per year. As of 2005, the estimated population in Aventura was 29,391. Founders Park is a well known park in Aventura, which was dedicated to the founders of the city in 1998. Residents pay no admission fees and still enjoy tennis courts, open fields that accommodate baseball, football, and soccer. The park has an exercise trail that will keep you on your toes and it also provides playgrounds for young children. While we are on the subject of children, Aventura has an excellent public Charter school open for K-8. The Aventura City of Excellence School, as it is named, ranks among the top 10 schools in the state. Although it is fairly new, having opened in 2003, it has a strong foundation and is expected to maintain its current “A” status.
In recent news the Aventura Marketing Council teamed up with Christine Lee’s (a well-known restaurant currently located in Sunny Isles), and hosted a grand opening networking reception, for the opening of Christine Lee’s at Gulfstream Park Racing and Casino. Aventura Commissioner, Zev Auerbach, congratulated Christine Lee’s on their success considering the high percentage of new restaurants that fail each year.
