The Forest Ridge Community in Davie kicks off the December Holiday Season with a Tree Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday November 20 at 5:30 PM.
Each year along the Forest Ridge Blvd. , the entrance to the community becomes a light extravaganza. 200 year old oak trees are decorated with thousands of lights and super-sized snowflakes.
The holiday spirit will fill the air when the Annual Holly Day Parade takes place on December 1, 2007. It begins at the statue at 1 p.m. and winds it’s way through the neighborhood. The parade ends at the entrance on the ridge where children’s games, carollers, raffles prizes, food and beverages are available to all.
If you haven’t been to an old fashion parade in a long time this is the one to see. Parade participants will toss beads from floats, horses will prance, twirlers will twirl and Santa is sure to make an appearance.
Forest Ridge is the best place to be for the holidays and a great place to live year-round.
