Marquis Residences, situated at 1100 Biscayne Blvd in northeastern Downtown and just moments away from the American Airlines Arena and the Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) is today’s featured development building. With Downtown’s surge in population and with more opportunities in the horizon for more developments and more properties entering the market, we hope this posting can help provide the key points that make this development different than the rest.
Marquis, which officially opened 2008, stands over 700 feet tall and contains 67 floors with a total of 292 units at the time it was delivered. It is another of the several other developments designed by local architectural powerhouse Arquitectonica, the same firm responsible of neighboring development Marina Blue and several others across Miami and the rest of the world. Known for its dramatic modernism and expressive clean lines, Arquitectonica’s signature style can be seen distinctively in Marquis’s design and floor plans. Most distinctive of all, it currently stands as the 3rd tallest building in Miami and the state of Florida, behind the Four Seasons Hotel Miami located on Brickell Avenue and SE 14th Terrace and Southeast Financial Center alongside Biscayne Blvd and SE 2nd Street.
