14 affiliates from Christie’s global network of high-end residential real estate brokerages look to Art Miami as key venue for prospective purchasers
MIAMI, FL (December 3, 2014) – With the marketing of fine art and high-end real estate becoming increasingly synonymous, 13 Christie’s International Real Estate affiliates from as far away as the Maldives joined Miami-based EWM Realty/Christie’s International Real Estate for the Tuesday evening launch of Art Miami.
From Donna Karan’s $39 million compound on Parrot Cay in Turks & Caicos, to a broad range of properties from South Florida, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, New York, Beverly Hills, San Francisco and beyond, these realtors turned art purchasers into prospects during the 25th edition of the globally acclaimed international art fair.
“While ultra-high-net-worth individuals are historically private about their acquisitions, the feedback during the grand opening of the fair, confirms that Christie’s International Real Estate’s sponsorship of Art Miami is an extremely strong, viable marketing venue,” said Ron Shuffield, CEO of EWM/Christie’s. “The 2014 Christie’s International Real Estate whitepaper – which spotlighted Miami as a top-ten city for luxury real estate among these buyers – further validates the city’s evolving position as a true international destination.”
High-end real estate congruently mirrors the sales activity of luxury goods — not the traditional real estate market. The top end of the fine art market, for example, has experienced a resurgence in recent years, quite similarly to the growth in purchases of luxury real estate.
Throughout the duration of Art Miami, the 14 Christie’s International Real Estate affiliates which are part of this year’s fair will host an interactive booth at the entrance of Art Miami. The hands-on display will afford Art Miami visitors an up-close look at over 14,000 exquisite properties presented by the network’s global affiliates. Christie’s International Real Estate will also host a private VIP reception within Art Miami for the brokers’ key clients in the city for Art Week
In addition to EWM Realty International, co-sponsors of the six-day event include:
- Brown Harris Stevens in New York City, NY & Palm Beach, FL
- Campbell & Prebish in Naples, FL
- CONLON: A Real Estate Company in Chicago, IL
- Dutch Docklands Maldives in Malé, Maldives
- HG Christie, the Bahamas
- Hilton & Hyland Real Estate in Beverly Hills, CA
- Michael Saunders & Company in Sarasota, FL
- One Caribbean Estates in Barbados
- Pacific Union International in San Francisco, CA
