Davis Gardens is probably one of the best kept secrets around town. And one of the best values. The entrance to this gated community is off Ludlam, about three blocks North of Sunset. The original houses were built in the 80s. in a lush, garden like setting, with pool, club house, tennis courts and play area for children. Peacocks roam the grounds, and some iguanas in the canal on the back add an even more exotic touch. There is a maintenance fee — $272 per month — which includes gate, streets,common areas, all gardening, night patrol and even basic cable.
