Because the Pumpkin Patch won’t be open until October 18. Yes, I know, there are pumpkins in the local grocery stores – on the floor or in big cardboard boxes – and even some with faces already painted on them. That’s not a fun way to get a pumpkin. On the evening of October 17, the big semi truck straight from the fields in North Carolina will pull up to the intended location in Village of Pinecrest on SW 77 Avenue, just south of SW 104 Street, very close to where Flagler Grove Park is in progress. When the truck is unloaded the great Pumpkin Patch will suddenly appear and be ready to open on October 18. In addition to lots and lots of pumpkins there will be gourds, Indian corn and other seasonal items. It’s a great place for both the young and the young at heart. Bring your camera and be very patient as your child or grandchild looks at every single pumpkin in the patch before choosing that special one. No one will rush them! Everyone knows that you just have to have exactly the right pumpkin for Halloween!
The Pumpkin Patch will be open daily 9 AM to 8 PM from Thursday October 18 through Wednesday October 31. Make that shopping trip special and FUN!
