National Breast Cancer Awareness Month: What We Can Do!

Breast Cancer Ribbon

October is designated National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM). NBCAM is dedicated to increasing awareness of breast cancer issues, including the importance of early detection. Comprised of several national public service organizations, professional medical associations and government agencies, the program is on its second decade of sharing information, providing access to screening, and building hope for future generations.

As we enter National Breast Cancer Awareness month let’s not forget to celebrate the progress that has been made against this devastating disease and acknowledge how important it is to continue building awareness. Below are some related events in the community that we can support.

Sunday September 30 – Coconut Grove, FL – Think Pink Breast Cancer Charity Event

Saturday October 6 – Miami Dade County, FL – Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Saturday October 13– Broward County, FL – Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Saturday October 20 – Miami, FL – Komen Race For The Cure
