This is for my kids to had asked me so many times to post a blog about our pet “Blackie”. About 3 years ago we decided to get a dog. My husband choices were very clear : a Female, yellow Labrador. Someone had mentioned to us that the Humane Society had Labrador dogs. OK , off we go and when we get there my children immediately fell in love with Blackie, a mixed breed, male dog!!!!! Against my husband wishes we adopted Blackie, and he became part of our family right away. He is a happy and very smart dog, proud protector of our home and has learned quite a few tricks. He is healthy and has a great time hunting lizards just for fun. So, if you are thinking about getting a dog, please adopt one, we are glad we did!!!!!
