This year, there will be 30 public, private and parochial schools competing for the $20,000 cash prize. The categories include junion and senior divisions for small ensembles, full choirs and show choirs.
This annual competition which helps to kick off the holiday season is sponsored, in part, through the generosity of 25 local foundations, municipal organizations, corporations and local businesses with the support of the Coral Gables Cultural Development Board and Miami-Dade County Cultural Affairs.
The competition begins Wednesday, November 28th every evening from 7-10 PM and runs through Sunday afternoon December 2nd with the awards ceremony from 3-6PM. Its free and open to the public.It is held in front of the Coral Gables landmark 550 Biltmore Way building underneath the well-known 32 foot Poinsettia tree, a local holiday “landmark” in itself, not to be missed!
